The Directorate of Economics & Statistics (DE&S), Odisha, operates through a well-structured and hierarchical framework designed to ensure efficient coordination and execution of statistical and economic activities across the state. At the helm is the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary (DC-Cum-ACS), providing strategic guidance and oversight. 1. The structure is organized into three primary functional divisions:
   1. State DES (Headquarters):
      1. Led by Additional Directors and a Joint Director, this division supervises statewide statistical operations.
      2. Supporting roles include Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Accounts Officers, Administrative Officers, and Establishment Officers.
      3. Operational efficiency is maintained by a dedicated team of Section Officers (SO), Assistant Section Officers (ASO), Senior Assistants, and Junior Assistants.
   2. District DPMU (District Project Monitoring Units):
      1. Each district unit is managed by a Deputy Director, supported by Assistant Directors (AD), Section Officers (SO), Assistant Section Officers (ASO), Senior Assistants, and Junior Assistants.

   3. Range Offices:
      1. The range-level operations are guided by a Joint Director, who supervises Section Officers (SO) and Assistant Section Officers (ASO) to coordinate regional statistical activities effectively.
